I wanted to chat with you all about Timeless pieces vs. Trendy!

This Spring/Summer season off the shoulder tops have been all the craze. So have platform shoes, big round sunnies and ripped jeans!

There are two things I always live by when I am deciding to make an investment with clothing items or to buy something a little more on the affordable end.

Trends : shop for affordable pieces

Timeless : shop for quality over quantity

My look:

  • Trend: My off-the shoulder top I will be wearing all summer and it was only $18. I’ve linked some other affordable options below.
  • Trend: My platform shoes were at Target for $30! They are super comfortable and a great trendy pair for this summer season.
  • Timeless: In this look above, I invested in quality Hudson brand jeans because I know I will wear them over and over and they will be timeless and a staple in my wardrobe. You could say ripped jeans are a trend but I wear them all the time and I’ve had them for a while now! I don’t think ripped jeans are going anywhere for a while.

I hope you enjoyed this post! Have a fabulous Monday!

So loving this look! I totally agree on investing in the classics and then you can accessorize with trendier pieces for less!

Love the look! Your shopping tips are so true! I’ve been investing in classic pieces this year rather than spending a ton on trends that won’t be in style next season!

How cute are you?! I so agree with you about spending more money on timeless items and saving money on the trendy items. Sometimes it’s just hard to remind myself haha xo

Love this look Chelsea. I agree that you definitely want to spend on timeless pieces like jeans, a basic white t-shirt, a good watch. Those things will stay around for a while. I’m obsessing over those platform sandals! Great post! Xx

Great post! Love how you mixed different pieces and emphasize what is timeless and what is trendy. The white top is so pretty and really adore how you styled it with the platform heels.
